The gel member of Laneige's Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic range, formulated for combination and oily skin that wants real hydration without weight. Tiny cream beads are suspended through the gel and melt on contact, so it goes on cool and absorbs fast rather than sitting as a film. Blue Hyaluronic Acid is Laneige's ultra-low-molecular hyaluronic — around 1/2000 the size of standard HA — which is what lets it work at the barrier level instead of just the surface. The ingredient list is notably short for a moisturizer and contains no silicones at all, which is unusual in a gel texture and worth flagging for anyone avoiding them. Mint leaf extract gives it the fresh finish, and malachite extract and a ferment round out the barrier support. It layers well under sunscreen and won't pill under makeup.
