Roughly 24,000 micro capsules are suspended through the 30ml bottle, each holding vitamin C derivative, vitamin E and algae oil — they burst as you massage the serum in, and Laneige reports the encapsulated delivery moves actives into skin far more effectively than the same ingredients unencapsulated. The base is a peptide water carrying four peptides plus low-molecular-weight collagen chosen for how quickly it absorbs. Over an eight-week study Laneige measured a 61% improvement in skin bounce and 29% in firmness. The texture is genuinely weightless and non-tacky, which makes it easy to wear under sunscreen or makeup — Laneige even suggests mixing a drop into foundation on dull days.
